Statutory Law is the body of Law that was enacted by Legislative bodies at any level of Government. The enactment could be made in the form of Statute passed by the Congress or a state legislature.

  • When a statute is passed by the Congress or the state legislature, it is placed in the relevant federal code of law or the state code of law.
  • Ordinance that are generally passed by a municipal or county body also come under Statutory Law.
