Section 22 of Minimum Wages Act, 1948

Section 22F of Minimum Wages Act, 1948 says that not withstanding anything contained in the Payment of Wages Act, 1936, the appropriate Government, by way of notification in Official Gazette, direct that, subject to provisions in sub-section (2), all or any provisions of the Act, with such modification if any as may be specified in the notification, apply to wages payable to employees in such scheduled employments as may be specified in the notification.

An Inspector appointed under this Act shall be deemed to be the Inspector for the purpose of enforcement of provisions so applied within the local limits of his jurisdiction. The inspector is deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of Section 21 of Indian Penal Code 1860.
