A Leading Question is one in which the question itself suggest the answer to which the person putting the question wishes to receive.

  • The answer to a leading question would generally be in a 'yes' or a 'no'.
  • The examiner clearly suggests the answer.
  • If the question merely suggests a subject, without suggesting an answer or a specific thing, it is not a leading question.
