An Act to amend the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

BE it enacted by Parliament in the Sixty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—

  • Section 10: Substitution of new section for section 17. Interim measures ordered by arbitral tribunal
  • Section 11: Amendment of section 23
  • Section 12: Amendment of section 24.
  • Section 13: Amendment of section 25
  • Section 14: Amendment of section 28.
  • Section 15: Insertion of new sections 29A and 29B. Time limit for arbitral award. Fast track procedure
  • Section 16: Amendment of section 31.
  • Section 17: Insertion of new section 31A. Regime for costs.
  • Section 18: Amendment of section 34.
  • Section 19: Substitution of new section for section 36. Enforcement.
  • Section 20: Amendment of section 37.
  • Section 21: Amendment of section 47.
  • Section 22: Amendment of section 48
  • Section 23: Amendment of section 56
  • Section 24: Amendment of section 57
